Go longer between hair washes.

Not long ago, almost 4 years ago to be exact, when I would hear that women were going several days in between washes, I was puzzled.
Most of the time, my hair would be oily almost the same day I washed it. If you're a woman then you know that washing your hair is a CHORE. So doing it every. single. day. was not something I wanted to do.
And because my hair would get oily, so quickly, my hair lived in a messy bun most days. Not saying that my hair isn't in a messy bun now, but it's a rarity.
So, that brings me to today. Now, I wash my hair about 2-3 times a week AND can style it most days. This has been a years-long process of figuring out all the little techniques to make my hair last longer between washes, but I have finally found ways to help, and I want to share all that has worked for me!
Quality shampoo and hair products!
I know it can be spendy, but buying good, high-quality shampoo is a game changer. This was the first switch I made four years ago. When I say high quality, I mean free from phthalates, sulfates, and parabens. Just your overall natural ingredient, clean shampoo.
Dry Shampoo BEFORE you sleep and work out:
This is such a great trick! Putting dry shampoo in, before I sweat when I work out, or before I go to sleep prolongs its cleanliness. I try to avoid allowing my hair to get oily before using any dry shampoo. Also, you can blow dry the sweat after a workout too!
Sleep on a satin pillowcase: This was the most recent change I made and has been a game-changer! My curls hold longer, and I have noticed less frizz since switching my pillowcase. If you struggle to go longer in between washes and haven't tried some of these, maybe one of these tricks will help you!
