First off, I think everyone's definition of "clean" differs. For me, a clean book has little to no profanity and closed-door intimacy (passionate kissing is all that is all the page, or it is hinted that things happened behind closed doors, but nothing is graphically described).

Here are some of my favorite romance authors, some Christian, some not but all clean (to my standards):

Famous For a Living by Melissa Ferguson

Summary:

Cat Cranwell's world shifts after her business partner is accused of financial crimes and she falls from superstar influencer. In an attempt to escape online trolls and paparazzi, Cat goes to work with her uncle at Kannery National Park in Montana.

Life in Montana differs vastly from her life in Manhattan. While her time in Kannery is a breath of fresh air, it also makes her ask herself some difficult questions. Like can she love herself outside of being an influencer?

Oh, and another problem, she's also falling for a ruggedly handsome park ranger named Zaiah (who strongly dislikes the world of social media).

Review:

I loved this book so much that I recently re-read it. First of all, hello mountains of Montana! I want to live in Kannery after reading this. The characters are so fun and have a ton of personality. I love how Cat finds herself through loving Kannery and the people in it. This is such a fun, light-hearted romance with so many great characters you'll fall in love with.

After She Falls by Carmen Schober

Summary:

When Adri Rivera escapes an abusive relationship, she goes back to her small hometown in Pennsylvania with her daughter. There, she has to face all the people that she cut off and left behind years ago, including Max Lyons.

Max offers Adri a job at his gym, and they work hard to regain their trust in one another, all while sparks fly!

While facing her doubts and finding her faith, Adri chases her dream of being a professional mixed martial artist and trains with Max for a big tournament.

Review:

I was hooked from page one! Who doesn't love a comeback story? I loved watching Adri tackle her goals and overcome hurdles. When I first picked it up, I wasn't sure about the MMA part of the story, but I LOVED it. I also loved seeing such a strong female main character. Adri and Max are so real and relatable too. If you're looking for a story with inspiration, faith, family, and swoony romance, this is it!

Stay tuned for more recs!
